Essential Orthodox Christian Beliefs
This is A Manual for Adult Instruction that is divided into sixteen chapters that uses the Divine Liturgy as a framework for presenting the teachings of the Orthodox Church. It is a suitable resource for guiding inquirers, instructing catechumens and confirming a fuller understanding of our holy faith in mature Orthodox Christians. It has been authored and assembled by clergy, theologians, teachers and qualified faithful of the Orthodox Church in America.
The Orthodox Faith
The Orthodox Faith series is intended to provide basic, comprehensive information on the faith and life of the Orthodox Church. It consists of four volumes and is available for purchase in our parish bookstore.
Protopresbyter Thomas Hopko (1939–2015) was professor of dogmatic theology and served as dean of Saint Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary. Alongside his numerous books and articles, Father Thomas was also renowned as a gifted speaker and homilist.
Prologue of Ochrid
The Prologue includes not only the Lives of the Saints, but also the Hymns of Praise, Reflection, Contemplation and Homily sections for every day, just as Bishop Nikolai Velimirovic wrote it in the original Serbian text. This first, complete version in English was translated by Reverend T. Timothy Tepsic and Very Reverend Janko Trbovich.
